We woke up early on our second day, knowing that it could well be the highlight of our entire trip. Yes, it was the day of our first workshop ever. Bringing up the theme “Finding Your Own Style on Instagram”, the workshop was held outdoor at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort by the swimming pool, creating a more relaxed and casual atmosphere.
We were humbled to be able to share our experiences and some basic photography lessons to our participants, who kept showing their genuine interest throughout the event. A part of the workshop, the attendees were asked to join in our photo competition, whose winner was given a complimentary 2-night stay at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. Congratulations to the lucky winner: Tamara Alessia Diandra (@tamalessia)!
Cut Catch Cucina
We had brunch à la française later on at Cut Catch Cucina (CCC) just beside the venue of our workshop earlier. We really set the bar high for this brunch session, as CCC was listed as the top 10 restaurants with best brunches in the world in 2014 by Conde Nast Traveler. After tasting its food ourselves, we believe that the award was, indeed, well-deserved. As its own name suggests, CCC, represented by its first C for Cut, offers premium meat cuts ranging from Wagyu and Angus to Kurobuta and organic poultry. Its second C, which is Catch, represents their best selection of local seafood that are grilled or ‘a la plancha’. The last C, Cucina, stands for Cucina Italian Osteria, which represents its modern Italian dishes that are offered with wines to match. While indulging on the buffet menu, spare some space in your tummy for its a la carte menu, which highlights its appetizing scallop and foie gras.

Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort
From Nusa Dua, we moved on to Kuta for our next destination. We arrived at Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, following which we were treated to the “Fashion A to Tea”, the hotel’s fashion and style-inspired afternoon tea session at The Lounge. Our eyes were pampered to the striking view of the Indian Ocean as we sat down at the open-air lounge above the swimming pool accompanied by the relaxing curling waves. The menu features both Balinese traditional finger food such as sate lilit and the classic western snacks for high tea.

The Parlour Kitchen, Bar & Lounge
After going back to our hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Bali, for some rest and a quick dip in the pool, we went to The Parlour Kitchen, Bar & Lounge for dinner. The playful bistro boasts an industrial-style interior and offers a more casual take on fine dining. The menu, which is modern Indonesian food, infuses European techniques and Asian twist, creating an exciting and unique flavor, especially when paired with its great selection of cocktails and wines.
