It was sunny and bright on a breezy Friday morning when the team behind Handsinframe arrived in Bali. The seventh of August was, finally, the day we had been waiting for: the #BFxHIF collaboration event – a trip to the summer paradise. The jovial Balifoodies team greeted us upon arrival, and despite the very early morning flight, we were thrilled to discover our first stop right after.
A fun 3-day culinary trip, our collaboration with Balifoodies started off with a lunch at Būro. Our first stop fell to this fairly new coffee bar, located above the Living Stone Bakery. Exuding a modest aesthetic design traced with an impression of simplicity, Būro is a mash up of a coffee bar, a work space and a retail concept store. That afternoon, we were joined by the team behind Copper Kitchen & Bar, a restaurant at the new boutique luxury hotel Bisma Eight in Ubud, who prepared our food at the open kitchen on the balcony.
Served at the lunch gathering were five different menus, which included smoked kale, sous-vide beef cheeks, Balinese king quail, Bisma gardens salad and pavlova. We also enjoyed a selection of Būro’s amazing coffee, as well as a delicious copper tipple cocktail and a delectable Bisma delight mocktail from Copper Kitchen & Bar. The table setting was so on-point with its strong Kinfolk theme, incorporating green leaves arrangements, wooden plates and off-white rustic table cloths.

Angelita Tea Salon & Patisserie
Our second stop of the day was Angelita Tea Salon & Patisserie. Upon arriving, we were greeted by its chic French decoration and table setting. The space creates an intimate ambience with pastel colours dominating the interior. We filled ourselves up with some savoury and sweet delights during the high tea session, which also served a great selection of amazing eclairs!

S.K.A.I Beach Club
After the afternoon tea, we headed to Padma Resort Legian for a dinner at S.K.A.I Beach Club. We arrived just in time before the sun blasted its colour over the horizon. There was a swimming pool overlooking the ocean, a perfect place to chill and immerse oneself in the art of sunset watching. We were served a three-course dinner, with each of us being offered different types of entree, main course and dessert. The highlights of our dinner went to the Pork Belly and Tenderloin!

Four Points by Sheraton Bali
After our fulfilling first day of non-stop eating, we went to our hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Bali, in Kuta. Nestled in a small alleyway, the hotel boasts six floors with two swimming pools - one on the first floor and the other on the rooftop. The terrace of all the rooms on its first floor are all connected by the pool, allowing you to jump right into the water whenever you feel like it. That night, we hit bed to prepare ourselves for the next days, unable to hide our excitement for our upcoming adventures in Bali!
